Watch a roll-off delivery once and the problem is obvious. The truck backs into position, tilts the bed, and lets a steel container roll down two bare rails onto whatever is underneath.

Concrete, pavers, asphalt, shell, it makes no difference to the rails. Pickup runs the same process in reverse, dragging the loaded container back up.

Damien Patrick saw the aftermath enough times to stop accepting it. Fresh concrete gouged in two parallel lines. Pavers pushed out of level. Shell drives furrowed where the container had sat. Homeowners who solved a debris problem and inherited a repair bill.

The alternative already existed in another form. Dump trailers ride on rubber tires and wheels, get towed rather than winched, and set down flat.

Build a rental business around that equipment instead of around roll-offs and the property damage risk mostly disappears. That is the entire founding idea, and it is still the reason most customers call.

The company operates from a shop on Edge Drive in North Myrtle Beach and runs the whole Grand Strand from there.

This Coast Is Hard on Driveways Specifically

The equipment advantage matters more here than it would inland, for reasons particular to Horry County. A large share of the housing stock sits on shell, sand, or thin slab poured over sandy soil, none of which tolerates concentrated point loads the way deep clay does.

Beach-block lots run narrow, with driveways sized for one car and no margin for a truck that needs a straight approach and room to tilt a bed.

Then there is the seasonal pattern. Rental turnovers compress into tight windows between guests. Storm seasons produce a debris surge that arrives all at once across the whole coast. Both reward equipment that can be placed quickly in awkward spots and moved again without a specialized truck.

Inland Horry County creates the opposite problem and the same answer. Loris, Aynor, and rural Longs properties sit at the end of long gravel and dirt lanes that a loaded roll-off truck cannot safely negotiate. A tow vehicle can.
